Involvement
International Association of Business Communicators
IABC is a club that focuses on networking and professional success. We have Skyped notable business professionals who shared their stories and we have made Linked- In profiles to present to potential employers. IABC allows me to explore career options in the Business and Communication areas through others and their adventures in the field.
As of May 2016, I am officially the president of International Association of Business Communicators. In this position, I oversee the chairs of Marketing, Public Relations, Programming, Finance, and Administration. I communicate with this fantastic board as well as with the general IC members and the Heritage Region relations committe.
The weekend of October 7, 2016, the executive board traveled to New York City to meet with IC Alumni. We met with William Sleight, Ron Maturo, Colleen Wormsley, and Michaela Metz. It was a wonderful opportunity to gain some insight on different career paths and learn the mechanics of various fields.
IC After Dark
IC After Dark is a late night programming student organization at Ithaca College. The mission of the organization is to provide free events for students and provide them with a safe alternative for Friday and Saturday nights. All events are interactive, exciting, and of course, fun! They involve a lot of planning, but luckily, I work with a wonderful team that makes the work fun!
